Jeremy Renner refutes Yi Zhou's assertions of a 'peaceful' agreement.

Yi Zhou and Jeremy Renner’s Dispute Continues

Yi Zhou announced on Saturday that he had come to an agreement after making shocking comments about Jeremy Renner. However, Renner’s lawyer quickly refuted this claim.

Zhou is set to direct a documentary titled “Chronicles of Disney,” featuring Renner, who has accused Zhou of sending personal and intimate photos of himself. On Saturday, a statement was released announcing a “peaceful and mutually respectful resolution” to their conflict.

In media reports, Zhou indicated that both parties would proceed with joint projects, including “Stardust Future” and “Chronicles of Disney.” He appeared to acknowledge Renner’s lawyer, Marty Singer, who claims he facilitated the negotiations.

“Thanks to everyone who supported this positive outcome and our shared commitment to creativity,” Zhou told a media outlet. He emphasized that this resolution would allow all involved to focus on meaningful storytelling that resonates globally.

Yet, Singer quickly responded with a statement of his own, declaring that no agreement was reached concerning Renner’s multi-million dollar claims against Zhou. He expressed confusion over why Zhou would falsely suggest that a deal was made, especially given that Renner had only agreed to participate in the documentary, not a full collaboration.

Zhou also made a declaration on Instagram, reiterating that they had achieved a peaceful resolution and would continue their projects featuring Renner.

Meanwhile, Renner’s representative stated that the allegations against him were entirely baseless and inaccurate. Earlier in the month, Renner’s film partner accused him of threatening to “call ICE” and sending intimate photos.

The partner mentioned that Renner had first approached her in June, asserting that he was single and interested in a serious relationship. She seemed to have believed in his sincerity, reflective of a hope for love and change.

Moreover, it was claimed that Renner had a written contract with Zhou, but he has since distanced himself from her, allegedly refusing to promote their joint projects. Zhou has since released WhatsApp messages purportedly sent by Renner, while the actor has emphatically denied these claims.

Renner’s lawyer accused Zhou of retaliating after Renner rejected her romantic advances, adding that Zhou’s attempts to continue contact after their brief encounter were excessive.

Amid all this, Renner labeled Zhou’s accusations as “false and vile” in a cease-and-desist letter sent recently. He alleged that she threatened to harm his public image if he didn’t support her documentary.

Looking back to September, Zhou hinted at their connection by sharing images on social media while they were together in Reno, Nevada. In October, she even claimed to have found love with Renner, who faced a serious snowplow accident earlier this year, asserting that they were in a relationship.
