Boxing Match Proposal After Altercation
There seems to be a need for a sanctioned boxing match after recent events—it’s just not cool to react that way.
Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey was ejected from the game for throwing a punch at Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who allegedly spat on him with just over 12 minutes left in the fourth quarter of their match, which ended in a 34-12 victory for the Steelers.

After the match, Ramsey pointed out that Chase was the first to spit at him, which led to his retaliatory punch. Video footage from FOX 19 WXIX-TV shows clear evidence of Chase’s action just before Ramsey swung.
“He spat on me,” Ramsey commented. “Honestly, after that, football was the last thing on my mind. Sure, I enjoy trash talking—that’s part of the game—but once he did that, it crossed a line.”
He further mentioned, “I’m pretty sure the NFL will look into it properly. There are tons of cameras around. They can verify what happened… They should be able to check the footage and see the spit. Honestly, I might have been too nice about it.”

On the other hand, Chase denied the accusation, stating, “I never spoke to that guy. I didn’t spit on anyone.”

It’s quite something, this back and forth—Chase’s denial really takes the cake.
