Cowboys’ Pickens Shines in Victory Over Raiders
In a recent NFL matchup, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens expressed his admiration for his performance during the team’s 33-16 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. It was quite a night for him, despite starting on the bench alongside teammate CeeDee Lamb for the opening drive.
During the game, Pickens recorded an impressive nine receptions for 144 yards, including a remarkable 37-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Dak Prescott.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones praised Pickens, highlighting the artistry of his playing style. “I’ve never seen anything like that,” he remarked. “His movements were almost poetic—like something out of a ballet or an opera.”
Picked up in the offseason from the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pickens has certainly made an impact on the Cowboys’ offense, racking up 58 catches for 908 yards and a career-high seven touchdown receptions this season.
Following the good news of the victory, the Cowboys’ record now stands at 4-5-1. Jones was asked whether he felt the team gaining momentum as they approached the playoffs. He reflected on the impressive stats, mentioning they were staggering when thinking about playoff potential. “But I want to focus on this weekend’s upcoming game against Philadelphia,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to it. It should be a key match for our team.”
As they prepare, the Cowboys find themselves in second place in the NFC East, just behind the Philadelphia Eagles, currently sitting 10th in the playoff standings.
