Week 12 Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Watch

The NFL weekend has wrapped up, so it’s probably too late to catch those games now. But Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means the fantasy playoffs are approaching fast. It’s time to gear up for the postseason.

Let’s take a look at some wide receiver options worth considering for your waiver wire ahead of Week 12. We’ll focus on players taken in 60% or less of leagues.

Week 12 Bye Teams

Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, Miami Dolphins, Washington Commanders

Michael Wilson, WR, Arizona Cardinals (33.7%)

The Cardinals faced quite a defeat against the 49ers, losing 41-22. Still, there was room for some garbage-time success. Jacoby Brissett had a record-tying performance, completing a substantial number of passes, many of which went to Wilson. He ended up as the top fantasy wideout in PPR leagues that week, catching 15 of 18 targets for an impressive 185 yards.

While it’s unlikely that Wilson will catch many more passes in upcoming games, he still holds potential as a sleeper in fantasy, particularly during garbage time. He’s been decent playing alongside Brissett, and with the Cardinals expected to be trailing frequently, he might put up some solid numbers.

Week 12 Matchup: vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 4:05 p.m. ET

Christian Watson, WR, Green Bay Packers (21.9%)

Watson was instrumental in the Packers’ narrow 27-20 victory over the Giants, racking up four receptions for 46 yards and two crucial touchdowns. His contributions helped push the team’s score, getting two touchdowns at key moments in the game.

This fourth-year receiver has proven to be a significant threat for the offense ever since his season debut a month ago. He’s ranking high among receivers with substantial routes this season. Watson will need to make an impact in the upcoming NFC North clash against the Vikings and should be ready to go.

Week 12 Matchup: vs. Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m. ET

Mack Hollins, WR, New England Patriots (3.9%)

Hollins has become a reliable target for Drake Maye, finishing with four receptions for 64 yards in the Patriots’ 27-14 win over the Jets last Thursday. Although he didn’t quite match the stats from his previous game against the Buccaneers, he still ended up as a top-30 fantasy receiver in every scoring format.

Despite a modest target share this season, his high catch rate ranks him among the best receivers with significant routes run. It seems he’s making the most of his opportunities, which is exactly what you want from a third-string wide receiver, especially with a struggling Bengals defense ahead.

Week 12 Matchup: @ Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m. ET

Xavier Leggett, WR, Carolina Panthers (13.8%)

Leggett had a quiet outing in the Panthers’ loss to the Saints, but he made a strong comeback in the narrow 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons. He secured four receptions for 83 yards, including a crucial touchdown in the third quarter, ranking him among the top-10 fantasy wideouts this week.

The Panthers are still in the playoff hunt, and their increasing momentum could bode well for skill players like Leggett. If you’re on the lookout for a receiver, he might be worth taking a chance on.

Week 12 Matchup: @ San Francisco 49ers, 8:15 p.m. ET (Monday night)
