Craig Conover Expresses Disappointment Over Shep Rose’s Rant at BravoCon 2025
Craig Conover has shared his disappointment following an intense rant by his Southern Charm co-star, Shep Rose, during BravoCon 2025.
During an appearance on “Jeff Lewis Live,” Conover was asked about a video obtained by Page Six showing Rose criticizing him and his former girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, from Summer House.
“My assistant mentioned it to me this morning, and honestly, I didn’t want to see it,” said Conover, 36.
He acknowledged being somewhat aware of Rose’s comments regarding his past with DeSorbo but made it clear that he wasn’t there to witness the outburst firsthand.
Conover talked about having a good time at BravoCon, even though he felt a bit let down. “I mean, I had a great time, I was busy the whole weekend,” he noted. However, he then mentioned feeling disappointed, particularly because Rose’s comments seemed to focus on his relationship with DeSorbo, which felt unfair to him.
“It felt like our romance and breakup became a major topic,” Conover claimed. Still, he insisted he had nothing but positive things to say about her.
At the Mandalay Bay Resort, Rose, 45, was seen venting loudly to a group: “You were fake the whole time, weren’t you? How many more followers did you get? 200?”
In another part of his rant, he commented on the financial gains Conover and DeSorbo allegedly made from reality TV, criticizing the breakup announcement she made on a podcast as an act of betrayal. “Do you know how bad that is? Talk about biting the hand that fed you,” he exclaimed.
Witnesses at the scene reported that Rose also made negative remarks about DeSorbo, 33, and Amanda Batula, but there were conflicting reports since some claimed they heard nothing of that nature.
A source close to Rose, however, denied any derogatory comments toward DeSorbo and Batula, 34.
Conover emphasized that he had nothing but good things to say about DeSorbo and reiterated his disappointment that such personal matters were brought up publicly.
Rose’s strong emotions towards Conover may stem from their complicated friendship. Meanwhile, DeSorbo had previously announced a split from Conover in December 2024 on the Giggly Squad podcast after three years of dating. She also confirmed her departure from Summer House in June after seven seasons.
Conover’s history includes a well-known disagreement with Batula’s husband, Kyle Cook, regarding an investment in a competing cocktail brand.
Representatives for Rose, DeSorbo, and Batula have not responded to requests for comment from Page Six.
DeSorbo did, however, make some comments on Instagram regarding the situation, alluding to a viral moment and jokingly offering to lend something to Rose, though it’s unclear what that referred to.
One fan remarked on the romance of the situation, to which DeSorbo humorously responded that she felt like Taylor Swift.
