Shilo Sanders facing a lawsuit from his previous attorneys in surprising news

Legal Troubles for Shiloh Sanders as His Brother Prepares for NFL Debut

As one brother gets ready for his first NFL start, the other finds himself in a challenging legal situation. Shiloh Sanders, the sibling of Browns quarterback Shedule Sanders and son of NFL Hall of Famer and Colorado coach Deion Sanders, is facing a lawsuit from the Burns & Thornburg law firm. The firm claims Shiloh owes them over $164,000 in unpaid notes and interest, as reported.

The lawsuit, filed on November 17, stems from legal services provided to Sanders after he was accused of assaulting a security guard in Dallas back in 2015.

At 25, Shiloh filed for bankruptcy last year in an attempt to sidestep responsibility for a hefty $12 million judgment issued by a Texas court.

Burns & Thornburg asserts that it incurred expenses while providing legal services on two separate occasions in 2024.

According to the firm, Shiloh allegedly owes a total of $164,285.55, which includes about $10,967.91 in interest.

The lawsuit indicates that Sanders has not responded to invoices or made any efforts to settle his debts despite the firm’s attempts to collect on the outstanding amounts.

Interestingly, it appears Shiloh became aware last August that the attorney managing his case was transitioning to a different firm. However, he still had a financial obligation to the previous firm for services rendered. Subsequently, he decided to end his contract with Burns & Thornburg but continued working with attorneys who had left the firm.

In 2016, Shiloh faced an assault lawsuit in which the victim claimed he suffered significant injuries including a broken neck and permanent nerve damage. This case went to trial in 2022, but Shiloh did not attend, leading the court to find him liable for assault and battery, resulting in a massive judgment against him.

A bankruptcy trustee has now filed a complaint, alleging that Shiloh made a fraudulent transfer of $250,000, breaching legal limits.

At this time, Shiloh is a free agent after being released by the Buccaneers in August, where he initially joined as an undrafted free agent.

During his brief tenure with the team, he incurred a fine for an altercation during a preseason game. He played at the University of Colorado alongside his younger brother Shedur, who is gearing up for his own NFL debut this Sunday against the Raiders.
