Election Results in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City
On November 4, 2025, Democrats achieved significant victories in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City, with outcomes that were quite pronounced. In Virginia, the party secured all statewide offices with Abigail Spanberger as governor, Ghazala Hashmi as lieutenant governor, and Jay Jones as attorney general. Similarly, in New Jersey, the gubernatorial race saw Mikie Sherrill declared the winner as soon as the polls closed. Meanwhile, in New York City, Zoran Mamdani, an Islamic Democratic Socialist, claimed the mayoral seat.
Mark Levin expressed his frustration with the Republican Party’s apparent lack of urgency. He stated, “We have to fight like hell, every election, every election, every level of government. That’s the bottom line!”
Levin reflected on Virginia’s transformation from a “red southern state” to a blue-leaning area. He described this change as an invasion by “government bureaucrats” trying to escape the taxes and regulations of blue states. He mentioned that Virginia currently has more federal officers than any other state, which he found remarkable. Furthermore, he pointed out ongoing issues with immigration—both illegal and legal—without proper assimilation, particularly during Democratic administrations.
He also highlighted that Republicans seem to be contributing to a shrinking population in Virginia. He expressed concern over funding from influential figures like Soros and organizations like CAIR that support progressive candidates, including Hashmi, who is now a frontrunner for the governorship.
In New Jersey, while the history isn’t as deeply rooted in red politics, similar voting patterns emerged. Levin noted that blue voters backed Sherrill, even amid high taxes and regulations. He criticized her for merely allowing every radical bill on her desk to pass without scrutiny, dubbing her as “just a place to put.”
Levin also took aim at conservative pundits who believe that recent Democratic successes could somehow benefit Republicans in future elections. He specifically pointed to Mamdani’s win in New York City as a factor that might ignite future Democratic campaigns. “They’re organizing at the local level like we’ve never seen before,” he warned, emphasizing that they’re raising massive amounts of money and influencing young minds in universities.
To those who think the blue wins would ultimately favor Republicans in midterms or the 2028 elections, he questioned their sanity, urging them to step aside for those who are more serious about addressing these issues.
