New Children’s Book Portrays Abortion in Unique Light

A recently released children’s book targets young readers, starting at age five, and presents abortion as a “uniquely human supernatural power.”

Titled “Abortion Is Everything,” the book was penned by activist Amelia Bonneau, who also initiated the “Scream Abortion” movement.

Marketing materials suggest the book is designed for children aged 5 to 8, aiming to explain abortion in terms that are accessible to kids. Some critics argue that this amounts to grooming rather than merely informative advertising.

Social media posts from the group have taken pride in promoting the book, as noted by pro-life organization Live Action. They highlight the long-standing demand among parents, caregivers, and educators for resources that help discuss abortion with children, especially in the context of today’s politically charged atmosphere.

This book endeavors to convey the emotional aspects of abortion and its rationale.

One of the social media posts reads, “‘Abortion is Everything’ depicts abortion, in inclusive terms, as the realization of a uniquely human superpower: the ability to envision the future and make choices that steer lives in desired directions. It’s portrayed as a means through which individuals can shape their own destinies, influencing the world around them.”

There has been significant backlash online, with some supporters of Live Action expressing strong disapproval. They have condemned the initiative, asserting that targeting children in this manner constitutes inappropriate propaganda.

This reaction echoes sentiments that the abortion industry has for years sought to influence young minds with pro-abortion narratives, seeing this book as yet another instance of framing abortion as a tool for human empowerment.

The ongoing political fight surrounding abortion has intensified after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn a pivotal ruling from 2022, effectively shifting the debate to state levels.
