Allow Policy Discussions to Unfold, but Keep in Mind 'We Are Facing a Radical Left Movement'

Vice President J.D. Vance Advocates for Open Debate Among Conservatives

During a live discussion with Breitbart News’ Matthew Boyle, Vice President J.D. Vance reaffirmed the importance of open debates among conservatives. He emphasized that while these discussions are necessary, the right must remain aware of their true opposition.

Boyle pointed out that it has been a year since Vance and former President Trump achieved a significant electoral victory, and just a few months since the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk by radical left activists. He highlighted the existing divisions within the MAGA movement and asked Vance how to unite it for the upcoming 2028 midterm elections and beyond.

“I believe we share more common ground than not,” Vance responded. He acknowledged that the disagreements that exist within the Republican Party are both important and should take place openly.

He suggested that these discussions should happen in various mediums—podcasts, media outlets, and op-ed pages—stressing the need for collective dialogue on critical issues like foreign policy, tax policies, and housing. Vance mentioned a recent meeting in the West Wing aimed at addressing affordable housing for younger Americans.

“Under the Biden administration, things have spiraled out of control. Housing prices have significantly increased in just four years, depending on where you are,” Vance stated. He underscored that making housing more affordable for young people is a priority for their administration.

Vance also cautioned that internal disagreements should not distract Republicans from their main focus: addressing the radical left.

“I think we should let those discussions unfold, but they shouldn’t blind us to the ongoing opposition we face from the radical left, especially after the recent events that impacted my friend. This movement poses a threat, not for any illegal actions, but for resisting the far-left policies,” Vance warned.

“The true enemy is this political movement lacking principles or any thoughtful agenda for the American people. Their sole aim is to dismantle Trump and his supporters,” he remarked, urging conservatives to concentrate on confronting this challenge.

“Engage in debate, but keep the focus on the real enemy so we can achieve meaningful victories for the American people. That’s my message,” Vance concluded.
