Recently released autopsy findings concluded that 25-year-old TikTok influencer Ben Bader passed away due to heart disease, marking his collapse as a natural occurrence.
The Palm Beach County Coroner’s Office reported that Bader “died of coronary atherosclerosis due to atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease,” which clarified weeks of uncertainty after he was discovered unresponsive at Admiral’s Cove, an upscale community in Jupiter, Florida.
Authorities have confirmed there were no indications of trauma or drug involvement.
According to the judicial autopsy, “No significant trauma was found on the body as a result of the post-mortem examination.” Toxicology tests registered no acute drug toxicity. While codeine was found in his urine, it wasn’t detected in his blood, suggesting its recent use but not contributing to his death. The examiner deemed the manner of death as natural.
The report emphasized that genetic factors likely influenced the onset of arteriosclerosis in someone so young, and it was recommended that his family consult their physician for follow-up.
Coronary atherosclerosis is, essentially, a heart disease caused by plaque buildup that hinders blood flow to the heart and can lead to sudden heart failure, even in people with no prior symptoms.
Though heart disease at such a young age is uncommon, medical professionals note that atherosclerosis can develop at an earlier stage and often progresses without noticeable symptoms for years. Research indicates that initial plaques have been found in many younger individuals, raising alarms that severe coronary artery disease is manifesting in younger populations than in previous decades.
On October 23, Bader reportedly collapsed just moments after using a treadmill at a private gym. Security footage showed a gym member found unconscious around 6:28 p.m. Jupiter Police Department spokesman Sean Reed mentioned that Bader was discovered by another resident, appearing to be unresponsive.
Emergency medical personnel attempted to revive him before he was transported to a local hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The coroner’s report also noted that genetic factors likely contributed to the condition’s progression, and it encouraged Bader’s family to seek medical advice.
This conclusion provides clarity to the unexpected passing of the influencer from Cincinnati, who built a following of over 200,000 on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, X, and Twitter through lifestyle commentary, financial advice, and promoting his coaching platform, The Artisan Lab.
Bader’s mother shared with the coroner that he had been in “relatively good health” aside from some recent back and shoulder pain that led to physical therapy. His sudden death has left his followers and friends in shock, especially since he had posted his last financial advice video on TikTok earlier that day.
