Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker End Their Marriage

Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker have officially concluded their marriage, which lasted over a decade.

“After considerable reflection and prayer, I’ve decided to move forward with a divorce. These times are undeniably tough and emotional, but I’m prioritizing my peace, striving to be the best mother I can be, and focusing on co-parenting with love and respect,” Burruss expressed.

“I’m stepping into a new phase where work, family, and personal growth are central. I’m thankful for everyone who has stood by us over the years and kindly ask for privacy and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”

Burruss, 49, and Tucker, 52, first crossed paths while filming Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They got engaged in early 2013 and tied the knot the following April.

The couple has two children—son Ace, who is 9, and daughter Blaise, who is 5. They’ve also been raising Burruss’ daughter Riley, 23, and Tucker’s daughter Kaela, 29, from previous relationships.

As recently as last year, Burruss spoke positively about the foundation of their partnership, attributing their success to “great communication and having fun together.” She mentioned how deeply they understood one another.

Over the years, they’ve garnered attention for both their personal and professional collaborations, launching several ventures. These include a Georgia soul food restaurant chain and a trucking business, as well as a Bravo spinoff that revolves around families and dining.

Just a month ago, Burruss received the Wifetime Achievement Award at The Bravos during Bravocon 2025, where she notably acknowledged Tucker in her speech.

“To Todd, through the shadows, rumors, truths, and our arguments—both real and perceived—this award is for you too,” she said.

Beyond reality TV, Burruss has carved out a significant career in theater. After her Broadway debut in 2018 with Chicago, she is set to return on December 11th with & Juliet. She’s also been nominated for a Tony Award for her work on various acclaimed projects.

Reflecting on their creative partnership, Burruss had noted, “Our dreams often intertwine. I might think outside the box sometimes, but he handles it gracefully, saying, ‘Okay, baby, let’s do it.'”

Before their separation, the couple often shared their love publicly. In a heartfelt message celebrating their eighth anniversary in 2022, Burruss shared a montage accompanied by her song “Forever Love,” stating, “You were the perfect person for me. Being with you makes me a better me! 😘❤️ 8 years and a lifetime to go!”

Tucker echoed similar sentiments in a post, noting, “8 years of blessings! God is truly amazing. We have a love that feels eternal!… Excited for our future and a lifetime of love.”

Even though their paths are changing, Burruss emphasizes that they are moving forward with clarity and a commitment to maintaining peace.
