The most popular song in country music is created by AI.

The top country song in America, surprisingly, isn’t by a human artist but was created entirely by artificial intelligence. This raises questions about the impact on music, creativity, and even what it means to be human.

The song, titled “Walk My Walk,” comes from an AI artist called Breaking Rust. Its lyrics include lines such as “Every scar is a story of how I survived/I’ve been through hell and I’m still alive.”

In one part of the song, the AI expresses, “I tell you to slow down, don’t go too fast / But I’m not a man who lived in the past.”

“If you take a closer look at the lyrics, it’s about someone who’s faced a lot of hardship but has managed to rise again. It’s compelling, even if none of it is real,” remarked the co-founder of Blaze Media, during the “Glenn Beck Program.”

He elaborated, “The entire landscape is changing. I heard Elon Musk mentioning that in five years, we may not even have phones or apps like we do now. Instead, there might just be a device that tailors everything to your preferences.”

This means music and podcasts could be generated specifically for each individual, leading us to become even more absorbed in our own bubble than we currently are.

This prompted Glenn to ponder, “If an AI can imitate human emotions and perform art without actually having a soul, what does that imply about humanity?”

According to Blaze TV host Stu Bruguiere, “Many people just don’t mind who or what creates the art, as long as they enjoy it. And it seems that they do.”

While both Glenn and Stu are inclined to believe that AI will dominate artistic avenues, Glenn also optimistically mentioned that “someday, handmade art will regain its appeal.”

“I believe that human-made art will make a comeback,” he noted. “But we might pass through some particularly unsettling times first.”
