Travis Kelce’s Touchdown Call Reversed

Travis Kelce’s touchdown celebration was cut short on Sunday.

With the Chiefs attempting a comeback against the Colts, Kelce scored a 4-yard touchdown late in the first quarter. However, the play was nullified due to a 15-yard facemask penalty.

The focus of the call was on offensive tackle Ja’Wuan Taylor, who appeared to make contact with Colts defensive end Kwity Paye’s helmet during the play.

Kansas City managed to win the game 7-3, thanks to a field goal from Harrison Butker.

At halftime, the Chiefs were up 14-9.

This season has been tough for the reigning AFC champions, who currently sit out of playoff contention with a 5-5 record.

Kelce, now in his 13th year with the team, urged his fellow players to put their “selfish thoughts” away to refocus their efforts on the remainder of the season.

“It’s frustrating when you’re 5-5. The schedule is .500 heading into the second half, and we need to step up in the standings,” he said during a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast.

Kelce expressed concern about the unusual position they find themselves in. “It’s frustrating knowing the talent we have. Everyone needs to look at themselves in the mirror,” he added.

Prior to this game, the Chiefs were on a two-game losing streak against the Bills and the Broncos.

As the clock runs down on the season, the organization is also looking ahead to significant personnel decisions. Kelce, who recently got engaged to pop star Taylor Swift, mentioned he would decide on his football future come March.

To date, he has recorded 50 receptions for 631 yards and four touchdowns this season.
