Shedule Sanders’ NFL Debut and Myles Garrett’s Stunning Performance

Whether you love him or not, Shedule Sanders has quickly become one of the most intriguing stories in the NFL right now. His first start with the Cleveland Browns on Sunday certainly caught a lot of eyes.

The rookie, who surprisingly dropped to the fifth round in the NFL Draft, had an impressive outing in his initial full game. He completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards, tossing one touchdown and one interception, leading the Browns to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

It remains to be seen if he’ll hold onto the QB1 spot as they head into Week 13, or if this will just be a momentary highlight. Based on his performance so far, it wouldn’t be shocking if Cleveland finds itself still looking for a quarterback in the 2026 offseason.

However, the standout headline emerging from Cleveland after Week 12 isn’t just about Sanders’ potential or future. One of his teammates is on the brink of a historic achievement.

Myles Garrett, often likened to a Greek god transformed into an NFL pass rusher, added three more sacks to his impressive tally on Sunday. He dominated the field once again, as the Browns’ pass rush overwhelmed the Raiders’ line, racking up a total of 10 sacks.

Due to this performance, Garrett is now closing in on the NFL’s single-season sack record. With six games left on the calendar, he needs five more sacks to break the record of 22.5 set by Michael Strahan and TJ Watt, currently sitting at 18.

Given his impressive track record this season and throughout his entire career, achieving this goal seems quite possible. He’s had at least one sack in seven of his last 11 games, and in five of those, he managed more than one.

If those records do fall, Garrett has one significant hope.

“I hope it leads to a win,” he remarked.

But achieving victory has been a challenge for a team that stands at 3 wins and 8 losses this season. Much of this, naturally, ties back to the ongoing quarterback situation.

It’s pretty clear how pivotal quarterback performance is for team success in the NFL. The struggles have been well-documented over the years, making the excitement surrounding Sanders’ debut and development quite understandable—especially given the weight his last name carries.

As the Browns continue their seemingly endless search for a stable quarterback, the narrative outside that chaos appears to grow even more complex. Myles Garrett is arguably having one of the most exceptional pass-rushing seasons we’ve ever witnessed.
