UK Prime Minister Starmer believes Prince Andrew should give evidence in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation

Prince Andrew May Be Called to Testify in Epstein Investigation

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer suggested on Monday that former Prince Andrew should come forward regarding the U.S. investigation into Jeffrey Epstein.

Addressing reporters while at the G20 summit in Johannesburg, Starmer avoided discussing Andrew’s specific situation directly. He stated, “I won’t comment on his specific case. However, I believe any person who has useful information about such matters ought to share it with the relevant authorities.”

These remarks followed requests from the U.S. House Oversight Committee for Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, to submit transcripts of interviews linked to his long-standing association with Epstein—a request he has yet to respond to.

Democratic sponsors of the committee, including Rep. Robert Garcia of California and Rep. Suhas Subramanyam of Virginia, accused Andrew of attempting to “evade” the investigation. They added, “Our efforts will continue regardless of whether he cooperates, and we intend to hold all responsible for these offenses accountable, irrespective of their wealth, social standing, or political ties. Justice must be served for the survivors.”

In late October, King Charles III officially removed Andrew’s titles and honors.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace confirmed in a statement that Andrew has legal protection to remain at the Royal Lodge, but a formal notice to vacate has been issued as he will be transitioning to different private housing. The palace acknowledged that despite Andrew’s ongoing denial of any wrongdoing, such actions were deemed necessary.

On October 17, Andrew declared he would give up the title of Duke of York, coinciding with the release of an unauthorized biography about his life.
