College Football Playoff Rankings Show Minor Adjustments

The most recent College Football Playoff rankings reflect only slight changes as the season nears its final weeks. One noteworthy shift is Oregon State moving ahead of Ole Miss, taking the 6th spot while Ole Miss falls to 7th. This change follows Oregon’s victory over USC, placing the Ducks above Ole Miss during the Rebels’ bye week.

In another notable movement, Miami has risen to 11th after Utah struggled in their game against Kansas State, giving up an astonishing 472 rushing yards in a close matchup.

There are still two more rankings to come, concluding on December 7th. These will ultimately determine the matchups for the upcoming 12-team playoffs, which are set to kick off on December 19th.

If both Ohio State and Indiana win their rivalry games during the Thanksgiving weekend, they will meet in a Big Ten title game. However, for Ohio State, the road is tougher, especially considering the University of Michigan has climbed three positions to 15th place. Meanwhile, Indiana is prepping to take on Purdue.

In the Southeastern Conference, No. 10 Alabama is set to face Auburn for a spot in the title game. If Texas A&M manages to win against No. 16 Texas, they could become Alabama’s opponent.

Here are the current rankings:

  1. Ohio State
  2. Indiana
  3. Texas A&M
  4. Georgia
  5. Texas Tech
  6. Oregon
  7. Ole Miss
  8. Oklahoma
