Kelly Stafford Extends Break from Podcast for Family Focus
Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, has decided to prolong her time away from the podcast “The Morning After.” She initially stepped back in early October to prioritize her mental health.
In a recent social media update, Kelly shared her intention to devote more time to her family, particularly as her husband competes for MVP while the Rams boast an impressive 9-2 record. They have four daughters: twins Sawyer and Chandler, age 8, Hunter, age 7, and Tyler, age 5.
“I feel like I want to go back to my roots. To do that, I have to focus on the people I love the most,” she said. “I have a husband who is navigating a challenging season, and I want to be fully present for him.”
Kelly expressed her commitment to being there for her daughters as well, wanting to invest her heart and soul into her family—those who have so consistently given her their love.
While she didn’t specify a return date, she reassured fans, “This is not a farewell.” Instead, it’s more of a temporary goodbye. “It’s ‘see you later,'” she noted. She expressed gratitude for the support as she has grown and changed over time, mentioning her eagerness to see where the podcast might lead in the future.
Her co-host, Hank Winchester, shared some words of encouragement, highlighting love and unity among their team. Last month, Kelly had already announced she would take four weeks off to reflect on her family priorities and the future of the podcast.
Interestingly, during that time, Winchester was absent from one episode, perhaps adding a layer of complexity to their dynamic as hosts.
Interestingly, Kelly first launched “The Morning After” as a solo endeavor in 2021 before teaming up with Winchester later on.
It’s clear that this decision, while tough, is rooted in necessity. Family comes first, after all, and it seems like Kelly’s choice reflects that priority.
