In a chat, the “Blue Bloods” star shared that his favorite part of the holiday is the leftovers. “For me, Thanksgiving is all about what comes next—leftover sandwiches,” he said. “Jenny and I can hardly contain our excitement. We wake up early on Thanksgiving morning, and she gets right to cooking because she’s so into it. Then, at midnight, we’re just eager to dive into those sandwiches.”
Family gatherings can be tricky with their busy lives, but Wahlberg, who lives in Illinois with his wife, Jenny McCarthy, emphasizes wanting to spend holidays with their kids. He mentions hoping to connect with his siblings as well.
Shifting gears, actress Candace Cameron Bure shares her gratitude this Thanksgiving. She jokes that her answer might be “boring,” as it tends to be the same each year. “Honestly, family is everything to me,” she said. “With two of my kids married now, our family is growing, and I appreciate those moments even more as I get older.” Her daughter, Natasha, recently married, while her son Lev tied the knot earlier this year.
Next up is country singer Martina McBride, who talked about her Thanksgiving favorites. “I really love mashed potatoes and gravy, probably because we don’t eat them regularly, so it’s kind of special,” she noted.
