Jerry O’Connell and John Stamos Reunite, Ending Their Feud

It seems like all is well between Jerry O’Connell and John Stamos, who have put their long-standing feud behind them. They recently posed for a friendly photo alongside Stamos’ wife, Caitlin McHugh.

O’Connell made a light-hearted comment about the gathering, referencing past disputes in a social media caption: “First @zohrankmamdani and @realdonaldtrump, then me and @johnstamos, you’re standing up @russian_kremlin and zelenskyy_official.”

The occasion was Howie Mandel’s birthday celebration, and Mandel himself chimed in on the post, joking, “This is my job. I bring people together. You’re welcome.”

The Background of Their Feud

This friendly moment comes years after a conflict arose between Romijn, O’Connell, and Stamos—largely sparked by comments in Stamos’ memoir, “If You Would Have Told Me.” In the book, he detailed his tumultuous marriage with Romijn, which lasted from 1998 to 2005.

Post-divorce, Romijn formed a relationship with O’Connell, and they welcomed twin daughters together. Stamos, for his part, moved on and married McHugh in 2018; they first met on the set of *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* and rekindled their romance years later.

Despite moving on, Stamos revisited past grievances in his 2023 memoir. This didn’t sit well with everyone.

Reflections and Regrets

During a recent interview, Stamos stated that he felt “eviscerated” by the marriage, admitting that Romijn’s success in Hollywood often overshadowed him. He mentioned, “I think she surpassed me,” acknowledging that he could have made more effort to save their marriage.

He described feeling “devastated” after their split, admitting to having perceived Romijn negatively at that time. However, after some reflection, he came to a realization that perhaps both were at fault: “Maybe I was just as to blame as she was.” It’s a rather complex mix of emotions, isn’t it?

Romijn’s Feelings on Stamos’ Memoir

Romijn expressed that she was taken aback by Stamos’ portrayal of their relationship in his book, saying, “I was blindsided by that.” She added, with a touch of reluctance, that she isn’t interested in promoting his book or discussing the headlines surrounding its release.

This recent photo shared by O’Connell could signify a turning point for both old friends—perhaps it’s a sign they’re ready to move past the bitterness. After all, the dynamics of relationships can shift dramatically over time. It’s nice to think that reconciliation is possible.
