Browns' Shedeur Sanders rejects allegations that Stefanski is undermining him

Cleveland Browns Rookie Quarterback’s Remarkable Journey

Shedul Sanders, the rookie quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, made headlines during Week 12 with a notable victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Following this achievement, head coach Kevin Stefanski has officially named him the starter for the upcoming week.

However, there are fans of Sanders who feel that Stefanski has been undermining him throughout the season. When asked about this sentiment during a media interaction, Sanders responded firmly, suggesting that such claims were unfounded.

“So, you just want to cause trouble?” he said in reaction to the reporter’s comment about fans alleging sabotage by the coach.

Meanwhile, another rookie quarterback, Dillon Gabriel, who was drafted before Sanders, has been cleared to play following concussion protocol. Nevertheless, Stefanski confirmed Sanders as the team’s starter.

When further discussing his relationship with his head coach, Sanders pointed out that external opinions don’t influence his experience with the team.

“What people do outside the building is not within my control. It’s not in my power,” he explained. “Overall, I’m really happy to be here. Coach Stefanski has been coaching me since I’ve been here, and he’s been great.”

On the dynamic between him and Stefanski, Sanders noted it has been quite positive, reinforcing that it consists of guidance both on and off the field.

“We’ve definitely grown. Our relationship has matured, and I’m just grateful to be here,” he said.

In his first start, which was the first for a Browns rookie quarterback since 1999, Sanders led the team to a 24-10 win against the Raiders. In this game, rookie running back Dylan Sampson also made a memorable mark by rushing for a touchdown following a 66-yard play. Sanders showcased his passing skills as well, throwing a near-touchdown pass to Isaiah Bond that ended just short due to a tackle.

For Cleveland fans, Sanders’ performance brought renewed hope as the team celebrated its third victory of the season. Notably, former President Donald Trump even praised Sanders after the game.

“Shedur Sanders was great. He won his first game as a pro. Great genes. I told you so!” Trump remarked.

In expressing gratitude for Trump’s support, Sanders said, “I just want to thank him for taking the time to support me.”

Looking ahead, Sanders is set to start at home in Cleveland, where he will compete against the formidable San Francisco 49ers defense.
