Week 14 matchups: vs. Virginia Tech, Saturday, 7 p.m. ET.

Virginia finds itself in a favorable situation this weekend, poised for its first ACC title game appearance since 2019. This season has been a significant turnaround under head coach Tony Elliott, and they are on the brink of notching their second-ever 10-win season. Their only loss in conference play came against Wake Forest recently; they also faced a September loss to North Carolina State, but that game didn’t count in the ACC standings.

This Saturday, Virginia faces arch-rival Virginia Tech but has some history to overcome, as the Hokies have largely dominated this rivalry since 1999, with the last time the Cavaliers were on top being in 2019.

Week 14 matchups: @ Cal, Saturday, 8 p.m. ET.

For SMU, they too have a clear route to victory, with several favorable scenarios. After a rocky start this season at 2-2, the Mustangs managed to rally with just one loss in conference play—a narrow defeat against Wake Forest. They now head west to face a Cal team that’s in somewhat disarray following a coaching change.

Week 14 matchups: vs. Miami, Saturday, 12 p.m. ET.

Pitt needs a win against Miami at home. If they secure it, they’ll be rooting for Virginia Tech and Cal to also win. With a shaky start to the season, they switched quarterbacks and have gone on to win six of their last seven games, so the momentum feels good. Notably, the last five matchups between Pitt and Miami at home have been tight, and the Panthers haven’t beaten the Hurricanes in Pittsburgh since 2017.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Week 14 matchups: vs. Georgia, Friday, 3:30 p.m. ET.

For Georgia Tech, their main focus is on the rivalry game with Georgia. They’re watching the standings from the sidelines and hoping for a few key wins from others to have a shot at the conference title.

The Jackets were once considered strong contenders until a late loss to North Carolina State hampered their hopes. They might still make their way to the conference title game, but it would require some assistance.

Week 14 matchups: vs. Wake Forest, Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET.

For Duke, remarkably, even with five losses, they still have a shot at the title. Experts are starting to consider what a Duke win might mean, possibly affecting the conference’s standing in the College Football Playoff landscape. To reach Charlotte, the Blue Devils need to win against Wake Forest and hope for favorable outcomes, particularly with Miami and Cal winning.

Week 14 matchups: @ Pitt, Saturday, 12 p.m. ET.

Miami, once viewed as a top team, still holds a precarious ranking, and a loss could spell trouble for their postseason hopes. To secure a title game opportunity, they need to win against Pitt and hope for several other results to swing in their favor.
