Jets Player Kris Boyd Shot in New York Under Investigation

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd has returned to the hospital as he recovers from injuries he sustained in a shooting incident in midtown Manhattan earlier this month.

Boyd took to social media on Wednesday to share that he is still facing “health issues.” He mentioned, “Thank you very much. I haven’t been in touch with you much…I was released but had to go back to the hospital due to health issues.” According to reports, he is grateful to those who have reached out and prayed for his recovery, even if he hasn’t been able to respond to everyone.

On November 16th, Boyd was shot in the abdomen outside a restaurant. Initially, he was reported to be in serious but stable condition, and a few days later, he reassured fans that he was breathing on his own.

The NYPD has released a photo of a suspect related to the shooting, but as of now, no arrests have been made, and the suspect remains unidentified. Boyd’s discharge date from the hospital is unclear.

He joined the Jets this offseason after previously playing for the Houston Texans, but he has been on injured reserve since August due to an earlier injury sustained during training camp.
