Erika Kirk Sends Sincere Thanksgiving Wishes in Tribute to Charlie Kirk

Thanksgiving Message from Erica Kirk

First Lady Erica Kirk shared a poignant Thanksgiving message on Thursday, paying tribute to Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, during her family’s first holiday without him. “What remains is sacred,” she reflected in her heartfelt message.

“Charlie and I cherished Thanksgiving because it reminds us of the simple but profound practice of gratitude. That feeling resonates even more amid our pain,” Erica noted in her Instagram post, which featured some touching video clips.

“God has blessed me with the love of my life, a beautiful baby, a supportive family, and letters, toys, artwork, and Bibles from people worldwide,” she continued. The widow acknowledged the struggle to focus on loss, but emphasized how faith helps her appreciate what she still has. “Fortunately, the Lord meets me in my weakness and gently shifts my perspective to what remains sacred,” she added.

“Words can’t convey the significance of the love I’ve received. I read every letter, opened every gift, and saved them for when they’re older,” she expressed. “I thank God for bringing life out of despair and supporting us as we navigate each day,” she said.

“We’ll save a plate for you, baby. We love you, @charliekirk1776, Happy Thanksgiving,” she concluded, addressing her late husband.

In her Instagram video, Erika shared her experience at the Turning Point USA headquarters, showcasing the immense number of letters and gifts sent with heartfelt support from all over the country. “Thank you to everyone who wrote and sent gifts to my children,” she said in the video.

She also reflected on how to explain heaven to her children. “We talk about heaven in an exciting way. I tell them, ‘Daddy had a wonderful day today,'” Erica explained. She reassured them that their father is still involved from above, saying, “Daddy has asked his friends to send you gifts and letters,” adding, “It’s all about making it exciting for them.”

“Heaven is our true home,” she highlighted, wanting her children to realize their father is joyful and building a beautiful space for their family in heaven.

Charlie Kirk was tragically killed on September 10 at the age of 31 while engaging respectfully with students at Utah Valley University.

Erica Kirk has two children with him, a daughter born in 2022 and a son expected in 2024.
