Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s Holiday Tradition with Chris Pratt

Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt and Chris Pratt had an agreement before their marriage centered on the timing of their holiday celebrations. Katherine revealed in a conversation with Fox News Digital that their family tradition dictates that the holiday season starts at her house on November 1st.

When asked if they would immediately start decorating after Halloween, Katherine responded affirmatively. “Yes, that was an agreement my husband and I made before we got married. The Christmas lights and Christmas music will begin on November 1st,” she stated.

She shared a sweet moment with her daughter Eloise, who asked, “Mom, after Halloween, Christmas starts right away, right?” To which Katherine replied, “Of course.” Clearly, they’re on the same page, and it’s heartwarming to hear that Eloise gets it.

Katherine, who has just released her new children’s book, “Cat and Brandy,” mentioned that while she enjoys Thanksgiving, she thinks it can also feel festive when celebrated “under Christmas lights.” She mentioned that experiencing holidays through her children’s eyes adds a special touch to everything.

She described November 1st as a personal milestone, a time when she feels like she can truly embrace the season. “It’s my time,” she said. “I melt from the icicle I’ve been living under and truly emerge as the Queen of Christmas.” It’s such a joyous perspective, really.

Katherine expressed her gratitude for the many family traditions they uphold, like lighting Christmas lights and playing music as they come together during the holiday season. “I’m really grateful and proud that our family has priorities every holiday season,” she shared.

Looking at holidays through children’s eyes brings a unique joy, Katherine believes, making traditions and decorations all the more significant. Since their marriage in 2019, Katherine and Chris have welcomed two daughters, Lyla and Eloise, along with their son, Ford, born in November 2024. Chris also has a son, Jack, from his previous marriage with Anna Faris.
