Ryan Rhodes’ Campaign Endorsement from Ben Carson
Ryan Rhodes, a Republican hopeful for the Iowa House of Representatives, expressed during a TV interview that receiving the endorsement from Dr. Ben Carson, the former Housing and Urban Development Secretary, is quite significant. The conversation took place on Breitbart News Saturday.
In a discussion hosted by Matthew Boyle, Rhodes shared insights about his political journey. He mentioned founding the Iowa Tea Party and his efforts in conservative politics aimed at helping candidates gain election success.
“I initiated the Iowa Tea Party, focusing on conservative campaigns to help elect like-minded individuals,” Rhodes explained. He noted that his collaboration with Carson began early on, calling him one of his “first hires.”
“I served as his secretary of state while he advised on his national campaign. Together, we managed to extend our message quite far. Before Trump won, Carson and Trump were at the forefront, having developed a strong friendship. Dr. Carson consistently held President Trump in high regard,” Rhodes added.
Rhodes emphasized the importance of Carson’s endorsement, saying, “For someone so respected in the movement to be supportive of me in this race is invaluable. He understands the necessity of putting capable individuals forward, and it really reassures me that I’m committed to fighting. It’s good to have others affirming that. It’s not just about Congressional members; the movement needs more fighters who can prevent the usual political pitfalls from derailing our agenda.”
He further mentioned that there are five candidates in his race and asserted that his campaign is in a strong position.
“We cover a large district with 36 counties, so representing us means engaging with people from each area. We held a forum recently, and I believe voters are realizing that they want more vigorous advocates, not just the usual candidates who offer empty platitudes,” he concluded.
