JoJo Siwa Shares Update After Health Scare

JoJo Siwa has recently opened up about a concerning medical incident. On Friday, she took to TikTok to share her experiences after posting a photo of herself on a stretcher prior to a performance at the Mall of America.

The 22-year-old revealed that she had been hospitalized due to “a cyst on one of my ovaries that had ruptured and was bleeding in my stomach.” This situation led to severe pain every time blood accumulated, something she described as “excruciating.” She mentioned, “It’s a lot of pain, and, frankly, it should resolve itself eventually.”

Siwa planned to undergo another test in a week to ensure the bleeding had ceased. She explained that a stomach ache had troubled her in the days leading up to her hospital visit, but initially, she couldn’t identify the reason.

“My stomach hurt a lot,” she said, recalling her thoughts at the time. “I didn’t think it was something significant; perhaps it was just, you know, cramps or something.” However, the discomfort escalated, and every movement—walking, dancing, anything—intensified her pain.

In an attempt to alleviate the pain, she tried taking a bath, but after a few minutes, she felt worse, almost reaching the point of fainting. Feeling incapacitated, she reached out to her mother for advice on whether a hospital visit was necessary. Ultimately, her mother chose to call 911.

Upon the arrival of first responders, her vitals appeared stable, but due to the extreme discomfort, she was transported to the hospital for an ultrasound, which confirmed the ruptured ovarian cyst. After spending about two hours in the hospital, she was discharged with pain relief in hand and managed to perform shortly afterward at the Mall of America.

Siwa expressed her gratitude to her fans for their support in a TikTok video, also thanking the hospital staff for their care and swift action.
