Top fantasy football running back waiver wire additions for Week 14

Hello! Here’s your Week 14 Waiver Wire Watch for Running Backs!

Thanksgiving has wrapped up, and December is now upon us. For many leagues, the regular season is done, which means it’s time to prepare for the Fantasy Football Playoffs starting next week.

In this update, we’ll review some RBs worth considering from the waiver wire as we head into Week 13. Just a reminder, we consider players with an ownership rate of up to 60% in leagues. Also, this week marks the final round of bye weeks, so keep an eye on player availability.

This Week’s Bye Teams: Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers

Kyle Monangai, RB, Chicago Bears (59.5%)

The Bears beat the Eagles 24-15 on Black Friday, which, along with a Rams loss, pushed them to the top of the NFC. D’Andre Swift rushed for 125 yards and found the end zone, and Monangai contributed 130 yards and a touchdown against last year’s Super Bowl champs. The seventh-round rookie has really become a dynamic choice for Chicago’s offense, averaging 4.9 yards per carry while also boosting one of its star players’ effectiveness.

Monangai is right at that 60% ownership threshold. If you spot him on the waiver wire, don’t hesitate to place a claim.

Upcoming Matchup: @ Green Bay Packers, 4:25 p.m. ET.

Blake Corum, RB, Los Angeles Rams (17.0%)

After Kyren Williams sprained his ankle on Sunday, Corum had a chance to shine in the Rams’ surprising 31-28 loss to the Panthers. In his second year, he logged seven carries for 81 yards and scored a touchdown during the second quarter, helping the Rams briefly lead.

Corum has been gradually increasing his workload, achieving 10 or more carries in three of the last four games prior to Sunday. Williams should be fine for next week’s game, but if you need some depth at RB, consider giving Corum a look.

Upcoming Matchup: @Arizona Cardinals, 4:25 p.m. ET.

Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals (30.9%)

Knight had a solid game for the Cardinals in their 20-17 defeat against the Buccaneers, with a season-best 62 rushing yards on 11 carries, alongside three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown reception. The fourth-year back has effectively filled in where needed, maintaining a spot as a top-25 fantasy RB for three straight weeks.

With Sunday’s loss eliminating the Cardinals from playoff contention, they have little to lose as they continue playing through the season. This could lead to more opportunities for Knight, making him a valuable pick in the fantasy playoffs.

Upcoming Matchup: vs. Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m. ET.

Malik Davis, RB, Dallas Cowboys (0.7%)

Davis had a remarkable showing in the Cowboys’ 31-28 victory over the Chiefs on Thanksgiving, featuring a standout 43-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. This Florida alum has seen a good amount of playing time since coming off the practice squad and could have solidified his spot as the RB2 behind Javonte Williams for the rest of the season. If he’s available, it’s worth checking out.

Upcoming Matchup: @ Detroit Lions, 8:15 p.m. ET (Thursday night).
