Rodney Harrison Addresses Concerns from His ‘Sunday Night Football’ Appearance

Rodney Harrison is addressing the worries about his recent performance on ‘Sunday Night Football’. The former safety, who celebrated two Super Bowl victories with the Patriots, mentioned to MassLive that he was trying to catch up on sleep before the NBC broadcast featuring the Commanders and Broncos.

He explained, “I only managed a few hours of sleep after watching my son play during the Saturday night game. By Sunday, I was running on just three hours and had a full day of work ahead of me.” Harrison added via text on Monday, “I was really tired, but I’m okay.”

His son, Christian, plays safety for the Cincinnati Bearcats, who recently faced a loss against the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth on November 29. Reports indicated that Harrison traveled from Texas to Maryland for the Week 13 game at Northwest Stadium.

During the broadcast, when Harrison was discussing strategies with Tony Dungy and Jack Collinsworth, he seemed to lose his train of thought while responding to questions about attacking the Commanders’ defense. “Oh, yeah…” he started, glancing down at his desk as Collinsworth restated his query.

Some viewers took to social media expressing their concerns, with one remarking, “Someone should check on him.”

Having played 15 seasons in the NFL before retiring in 2009, Harrison later joined the postgame show. In the match, the Broncos triumphed over the Commanders in overtime, resulting in a score of 27-27, with Washington dropping to a 3-9 record and Denver improving to 10-2.
