Afghan Suspect Tied to Guardsmen Shooting Brought to U.S.
An Afghan national, linked to the fatal shootings of National Guardsmen Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolf, has reportedly been relocated to the United States under President Biden’s Operation Welcome Allies.
This operation saw a significant number of individuals evacuated, causing concerns about the vetting process. Glenn Beck, co-founder of Blaze Media, expressed alarm over the situation, saying, “We didn’t just evacuate our allies… The U.S. government took in anyone they could amid the chaos, which is often an enemy of truth. Tens of thousands were admitted—many of whom were not properly identified or verified.” He stressed that the Department of Homeland Security’s own inspector general acknowledged uncertainty about the identities of these individuals.
“Reflect on the past when nations lost track of who was entering their borders. Look at Rome, the Byzantine Empire, or regions in Europe before migration challenges escalated—now, it seems we’re repeating that mistake in 2021,” he added, lamenting that the U.S. has allowed people from a tribal, war-torn society to enter without sufficient consideration for their adjustment.
He posed a question that raises significant concerns: “How does someone transition from Afghanistan to a place like Chicago? What does that even look like?” Beck placed the blame on the federal government, which he believes failed to adequately plan and discuss the implications of such an influx, essentially thrusting both immigrants and Americans into a rather abrupt social experiment.
Amid this chaos, Beck pointed out that most Americans and mainstream media decline to address the issue candidly. “In today’s discourse, speaking the truth often leads to labeling you in various ways—stay silent or ask responsible questions and you’re branded a bigot instead,” he remarked, adding that reality doesn’t conform to such labels.
