‘Full House’ Actor Dave Coulier Has Been Diagnosed With Another Type of Cancer

Dave Coulier Reveals Second Cancer Diagnosis

Dave Coulier, known for his role on “Full House,” recently shared that he has been diagnosed with a second type of cancer, just about eight months after successfully battling stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

In an unexpected revelation during the December 2 episode of “Today,” he expressed optimism regarding his situation. “In October of this year, I went for a routine PET scan, and something showed up as red. It turned out I had a P16 squamous cell carcinoma at the base of my tongue,” Coulier explained.

He further clarified his concerns, asking doctors if this new diagnosis was related to his previous lymphoma. “They told me it was completely unrelated,” he said.

While discussing his journey with host Craig Melvin, Coulier spoke openly about the treatment plan for his tongue cancer, highlighting that he has undergone 35 radiation treatments, with the last one set for December 31. Afterward, he felt ready to celebrate the new year.

Coulier reassured his fans that his current prognosis is significantly more favorable compared to his earlier cancer experience. “The prognosis for P16 squamous cell carcinoma is very good; the cure rate is over 90%,” he noted.

He emphasized the critical nature of regular medical check-ups and urged his followers to stay on top of their health appointments. “What really saved my life, Craig, is that early detection made all the difference—not just the first time, but the second time as well,” he said, encouraging everyone to consider routine screenings like colonoscopies and prostate exams.

Coulier had initially announced back in November 2024 that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, leading to immediate chemotherapy. He confirmed on March 31 that he was cancer-free.
