White House Introduces Media Bias Report Line

The White House has recently launched a Media Bias Violator Report Line aimed at encouraging everyday Americans to report news stories they perceive as biased, hoping to hold what they term “fake news” accountable.

According to the White House’s website, this initiative seeks input from the public to identify misleading news and support the Media Bias Portal, which was introduced last week under the slogan, “Call to Action: Submit ‘Media Bias’ Tips.”

In a statement, the White House expressed that the Media Bias Portal serves the cause of truth and transparency. Its main focus is to counteract unfounded claims, deliberately omitted context, and what they characterize as the overt leftist bias prevalent in the media landscape. “This is a tough task that demands the participation of everyone who values accuracy against misinformation,” the statement added.

The administration emphasized that public cooperation is “essential” because it can be challenging to pinpoint all instances of false or misleading reporting. The statement further declared, “Gone are the days when the media could sway public opinion through lies and false anonymous sources.” There’s a clear insistence that if traditional media falls short in its duty to inform accurately, the American people will rise to the occasion.

People are encouraged to report what they see as the worst offenses in journalism. The report page asks the public to call out articles they think demonstrate bias to be spotlighted on the Media Bias Portal.

Moreover, the submission form invites users to share links to stories that they feel misrepresent the Trump administration, stating, “Don’t let them keep spreading lies. Fill out the form below.”

The White House also recently established a “Media Offender of the Week” site, now known as the Media Bias Portal, to criticize what it perceives as “fake news.” This platform highlights various news organizations and reporters, including CBS News, The Independent, and the Boston Globe.

In relation to a controversial viral video featuring six Democratic Congress members urging military personnel to “reject illegal orders,” the White House claimed, “the media incorrectly reported that President Trump has called for the ‘execution’ of those demanding accountability for sedition.”

The site not only names the three aforementioned news outlets but also includes a “Criminal Hall of Shame,” listing others like CNN, MS NOW, and the Washington Post. This section categorizes claims from different outlets under labels such as “bias,” “lies,” and “medical malpractice.”
