Family Trip to Baton Rouge
Lane Kiffin’s daughter shared some behind-the-scenes moments from the family’s recent journey to Baton Rouge for the press conference inaugurating LSU’s new football coach.
In a TikTok video, Ole Miss sophomore Landry Kiffin and her boyfriend, LSU junior linebacker Whit Weeks, made their way to Baton Rouge. This marked the first meeting between her mother, Layla Kiffin, and Weeks.
“I’m heading to Baton Rouge first for a press conference, then I’ll leave for New York,” Landry mentioned.
“New York in December is my favorite trip of the year. Whit is joining us this time, and it’ll be his first visit, so I’m really looking forward to it.”
One clip features Weeks chatting with Layla at the Tigers’ facility. Meanwhile, another part of the video shows patriarch Kiffin taking a photo with LSU President Dr. Wade Ruth and Director of Athletics Virge Ausberry at Tiger Stadium’s South Stadium Club.
Landry, Weeks, and their younger brother, Knox, enjoyed a lunch at Walk-On’s in Baton Rouge after the press conference.
The video continues with scenes of Landry and Weeks checking into a hotel in New York City.
They also visited the showroom of the activewear brand Vuori. The couple had an exciting night on Tuesday, watching the Rangers beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 in overtime at Madison Square Garden.
Earlier, Landry had some fun by poking fun at “angry football fans” reacting to her father’s departure from Ole Miss to lead LSU.
“I wish I could be as creative as angry football fans,” she joked in her video, accompanied by heart and hand emojis.
Sporting sunglasses and flashing a peace sign, she captioned it with “#It’s not that deep.”
She also liked numerous comments showing support for her father’s decision to switch from the Rebels, who are amid the College Football Playoff, after six successful years.
The day after the Rebels triumphed over Mississippi State 38-19 in the Egg Bowl, Kiffin announced that he would be moving to a rival SEC team.
He has signed a seven-year contract with LSU that will pay him $13 million per year.
In light of this, Ole Miss defensive coordinator Pete Golding has been elevated to permanent coach for the 11-1 Rebels.
As for Landry, it remains uncertain whether she will transfer to LSU.
