Kelly Stafford Hits Cabo After Rams’ Loss

After the Rams’ surprising defeat in Week 13, Matthew Stafford’s wife, Kelly, found an ideal way to unwind—she headed to sunny Mexico.

On Thursday, Kelly shared on Instagram that she was in Cabo celebrating her friend Jess Clausen’s 40th birthday. Jess is married to former NFL quarterback Jimmy Clausen.

In a series of photos, she showed herself alongside Clausen and some friends enjoying a day on a boat, fishing, dining on the beach, and even playing tennis.

Kelly looked stunning in her bikini during their various activities.

In her post, she wrote, “@jessclausen it’s easy to celebrate you. Happy birthday to one of my best friends. May this year be the best decade ever ❤️❤️❤️.”

This getaway stands in stark contrast to the previous Sunday when she was in Charlotte watching her husband’s game against the Panthers.

That day was not great weather-wise, with temperatures in the 40s and a rainy atmosphere. To make things worse, Stafford fumbled the ball during a critical moment in the fourth quarter, and the Rams ended up losing 31-28.

Adding to her challenges, Kelly had to coordinate a search for Matthew’s record-setting football, which was mistakenly given away early in the game.

Despite the tough circumstances, Matthew mentioned he has already moved on. Talking to the media on Wednesday, he said getting over the loss “feels like a no-brainer to me.”

He emphasized, “That doesn’t mean I don’t care about each one of them, it just means I’ll do everything in my power to help each and every one of them win. But unless it’s the last game of the year, we know the next game is coming and we should be ready for it.”
