George Clooney Shares His Prank Involving Bill Clinton

George Clooney is solidifying his status as one of Hollywood’s biggest pranksters by sharing a humorous anecdote about impersonating former President Bill Clinton.

On the podcast “New Heights,” hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce, the Oscar-winning actor detailed his prank which included using fake presidential stationery. The topic came up when Jason addressed a persistent rumor about a famous actor who once wrote a letter to Clinton.

Clooney explained, “Jimmy Kimmel gave me stationery with the presidential seal and Bill Clinton’s name. Clinton had sent out a note to actors, and I found a lackluster movie and wrote, ‘I loved you in this movie.’

This wasn’t just a random prank for him. Clooney confessed, “I sent these notes to around 30 different actors.” He admitted to frequently pulling similar stunts, and claimed that the Clinton impersonation kickstarted a series of pranks.

He mentioned another instance where Kimmel facilitated a prank using fake stationery that appeared to belong to his “Ocean’s Eleven” co-star Brad Pitt. This time, Clooney was sent a dialect CD featuring accents from various languages, sparking ideas for yet another Hollywood prank.

“I decided to prank Meryl Streep,” he recounted. “Someone had sent me this CD to practice accents, and I had no idea why I even had it.”

Clooney elaborated on his plan, saying, “I took notes with Brad Pitt’s signature and sent it to Meryl. I told her, ‘Dear Meryl, this is Brad. This guy helped me with my accent for Troy, and I thought you might find it useful.'” For years, Streep was puzzled about why Pitt would send her such an unusual gift until Clooney revealed the truth.

Four years later, when he met her, Clooney recalled, she expressed her confusion. “Oh my God, I was wondering why he would send me that book,” she said, leading Clooney to reflect on the mischief that can occur among friends in Hollywood.

During the same podcast episode, Clooney also addressed his marriage to Amal Clooney, asserting that they’ve never argued in their decade together. This prompted Travis to jokingly question whether he was being truthful. Clooney, maintaining his light-hearted demeanor, insisted he wasn’t lying and shifted the focus back to Travis.

Travis shared that his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift has also been smooth sailing, noting, “It’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. We’ve never had an argument.” The conversation paints a relaxed picture of both relationships, emphasizing humor and mutual respect.
