The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for multiple products sold on Amazon due to various safety risks, including potential fire hazards and injury concerns.
Let’s take a moment to examine the specific products involved, the associated dangers, and what actions consumers should take if they own any of these items.
Portable power bank sold on Amazon recalled due to fire and burn hazard
If you have the INIU 10,000mAh portable power bank, it’s recommended you stop using it immediately. There have already been at least three reports of minor burns related to this product.
All models of the INIU power bank (BI-B41) with serial numbers 000G21, 000H21, 000I21, and 000L21 are part of the recall. You can identify the battery pack by its black or blue casing, which features the INIU logo and a footprint LED light on the front.
Consumers are advised to cease use of these power banks and can visit the INIU recall page to check their serial number and apply for a full refund. Since this product contains a lithium-ion battery, it shouldn’t be thrown away; it needs to be disposed of separately to mitigate any fire risks.
So far, INIU has recorded 15 incidents of power banks overheating. This includes 11 reports of fires causing property damage that totals more than $380,000.
About 210,000 units were sold on Amazon from August 2021 to April 2022, priced around $18 each.

These tumblers were sold for about $25 at various retailers and online platforms including Amazon, Hydrojug.com, and others.
Crayola ‘CreateOn’ pip-Cubes recalled due to risk of ‘serious injury or death’
Notably, Crayola has recalled its popular magnetic assembly kits due to a serious risk of injury or even death from the potential ingestion of loose magnets.
Approximately 9,400 sets of CreateOn Crayola-branded pip-Cubes will be removed from shelves after officials noted that the magnets could detach from the toy.
The CPSC cautioned that if someone swallows strong magnets, these could attract each other or other metal objects in the body, leading to severe health issues like blockages. The risks include intestinal perforation, twisting, obstruction, and more.
The 24-piece set has been sold at Michael’s stores and online for about $20, while a 27-piece set is listed for about $35 on Amazon.
A writing tablet toy sold on Amazon will be recalled due to the possibility of death due to accidental ingestion of batteries.
KTEBO tablets available on Amazon have also been recalled because of a faulty screw in the battery compartment.
The CPSC has issued warnings that swallowing batteries can lead to serious internal injuries, chemical burns, or even fatal consequences.
From September 2025 to October 2025, around 10,380 of these tablets were sold online in various color options.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled writing tablet toys and contact the manufacturer. You can arrange for a free exchange by reaching out through their recall page. Additionally, any batteries included should be disposed of following local hazardous waste guidelines.
