Arkansas mother and her two kids killed a day after divorce court appearance.

A mother and her two young children were discovered dead in their home in Bonanza, Arkansas, just one day after a divorce hearing, according to local officials.

The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office reported that 40-year-old Charity Bearis and her children were found on December 3. This tragic event unfolded following a welfare check. Charity had attended a final divorce hearing with her estranged husband, Randall, the previous day.

Senator Terry Rice from Arkansas mentioned that Charity had expressed fears for both her own safety and that of her children during a meeting earlier in 2025.

Randall faced legal trouble earlier in the year when he was arrested on charges of strangling Charity in February. He was initially charged with aggravated assault and other related offenses but later pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree assault.

Interestingly, as of the last report, Randall was not considered a suspect in the triple homicide. His lawyer claimed that he has been fully cooperative with the investigation by the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office.

After his earlier charges, which came with a one-year suspended sentence, Randall was placed under a no-contact order involving Charity and her family. This order was consented to by Charity, as noted in the documents.

In an August social media post, Charity revealed her ongoing struggles, stating, “I’m living this fight right now. I’m a victim and yet I’m being treated like a problem while my criminal local doctor is protected by the system that’s supposed to protect us.” She expressed frustration regarding her attempts to communicate with the prosecutor, suggesting her voice as a victim had been ignored.

Charity had filed for divorce shortly after Randall’s arrest in February. The couple, who married in 2015, reportedly had stopped living together that same month.

Following Charity’s death, Randall’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the divorce proceedings, as Charity was seeking full custody of their children.

The sheriff’s office indicated that several search warrants were executed as part of the ongoing investigation, as well as additional interrogations.

Inquiries have been directed to Randall’s attorney for further comments on the situation.
