NFL Week 15: Falcons vs. Buccaneers Preview
Tonight marks the start of Week 15 in the 2025 NFL season with an NFC South matchup featuring the Atlanta Falcons taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers are listed as 4.5-point favorites at home, with a total over/under set at 44.5. Having lost four out of their last five games, Tampa Bay finds itself in a tight race with the Panthers for the division lead. Conversely, the Falcons have been eliminated from playoff contention and will aim to disrupt their opponents’ plans this evening.
Let’s take a look at some of the key DFS plays for tonight’s game.
Bijan Robinson, RB, Atlanta Falcons (FLEX $13,000, CPT $19,500)
Robinson showed solid play despite the Falcons suffering a heavy 37-9 defeat against the Seahawks last Sunday, carrying the ball 20 times for 86 yards. His only downside was a fumble in the red zone during the third quarter. With this performance, he surpassed 1,000 rushing yards for the season, achieving this milestone for two consecutive years.
Robinson is the second-best running back in terms of receiving yards this season, just behind Christian McCaffrey. His skills as a pass-catching back could present problems for the Buccaneers, who have struggled against running backs in the passing game. He amassed 701 receiving yards along with four receiving touchdowns this season. In their first game of the year, Robinson led the team with six receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. It wouldn’t be unexpected to see him shine again.
Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (FLEX $12,600, CPT $18,900)
The Buccaneers are glad to have Irving back in their lineup, which could be critical as they head into the playoff chase. In his return, the second-year player from Oregon State recorded 55 rushing yards, 26 receiving yards, and a touchdown in a 24-20 loss to the Saints, earning 15.1 fantasy points for the second week in a row.
Irving has an average of 15.9 points over six games, and like Robinson, he’s a valuable fantasy asset when healthy. He’s expected to continue getting the ball, making him a solid choice in lineups again.
Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (FLEX $10,600, CPT $15,900)
Evans is making his return tonight after spending two months on injured reserve due to a broken collarbone. This comeback could be timely as the team seeks its fifth straight NFC South title. He suffered the injury during the Week 7 game against the Lions and already missed three games earlier in the season because of a hamstring issue, adding to an injury-laden year.
Notably, Baker Mayfield’s performance tends to improve significantly with Evans on the field. Many expect the team to look for him frequently upon his return. Historically, Evans tends to perform well on Thursday nights, averaging 5.2 catches and 71.4 yards in his Thursday night games. He’s ready to step back into a captain role immediately.
Tyler Allgaier, RB, Atlanta Falcons (FLEX $7,400, CPT $11,100)
Allgaier has been consistent, finding the end zone almost every other week. He faces a Bucs defense that’s been somewhat lenient against run plays in the red zone, allowing 3.5 yards per carry in that area. It wouldn’t come as a shock if he manages to secure his ninth rushing touchdown of the season tonight, making him a top pick in flex positions heading into the game.
Dylan Drummond, WR, Atlanta Falcons (FLEX $4,800, CPT $7,200)
The Falcons, having little to play for this season, are in a position to explore their depth chart. Drummond has been gaining some traction, catching three passes for 21 yards in their last game against the Rams. The third-year wide receiver has already been on the field for 61% of offensive snaps, so he might have more opportunities to showcase his skills as the season wraps up.
Sean Tucker, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (FLEX $4,200, CPT $6,300)
Although Tucker’s playing time has diminished with Irving’s return, he still made an impact in the game against the Saints, accumulating 29 yards on seven rushes and scoring the team’s lone touchdown in the second half. He has shown himself to be a dependable third option in the backfield and is likely to continue seeing some plays, especially near the red zone.
