White House responds to Democrats' recent release of Epstein estate photos

White House Criticizes Democrats Over Epstein Photos

The White House made allegations on Friday against the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, claiming they are promoting a “convenient” and “false narrative” by releasing new photographs from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate. These images reportedly include notable figures such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Woody Allen.

This new information follows closely after the committee declared it had acquired previously unseen photos and videos from Epstein’s private island, which purportedly reveal the distress experienced behind his closed doors.

The Democrats said, “We’ve received 95,000 new photos from Epstein’s estate. These troubling images heighten concerns regarding Epstein’s connections with influential individuals. It’s time to put an end to this White House’s cover-up—release the files!” This statement was shared on Friday via the committee’s social media.

White House Press Secretary Abigail Jackson responded by accusing the Democrats of “selectively releasing hand-picked, randomly edited images to fabricate a false narrative.”

Justice Department’s Secret Release of Grand Jury Materials

Jackson further claimed that certain Democrats, including Stacey Plaskett and Hakeem Jeffries, solicited funds and meetings with Epstein even after his conviction as a sex offender. She emphasized that repeated accusations against Trump have been discredited, noting that his administration has done more for Epstein’s victims than the Democrats.Telling the press that it’s time for a shift in narrative, she said, “The media should stop echoing Democratic statements and press them about their ties to a convicted offender.”

In a previous incident, Hakeem Jeffries faced criticism for allegedly dining with Epstein or soliciting donations from individuals linked to him. Efforts by House Republicans to censure Plaskett also found no success last November.

New Developments in Epstein Case

Meanwhile, photos of sex toys were among the images released on Friday. Additionally, U.S. District Judge Richard Berman ruled in favor of releasing secret grand jury transcripts from Epstein’s 2019 sex trafficking case, reversing an earlier decision maintaining their confidentiality. Berman indicated that the roughly 70 pages of grand jury documents are unlikely to convey significant new insights.

Photos released included images of celebrities like Bill Clinton and Bill Gates in connection with the Epstein investigation, but representatives for Clinton, Gates, and Allen did not respond immediately when approached for comments.

This series of disclosures appears to be part of a broader strategy following the recent decision by a judge to approve the Justice Department’s request for the release of related grand jury evidence in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.
