Jeremiyah Love considers his choice to choose Notre Dame instead of Michigan

Jeremiah Love was once on his way to becoming a Michigan Wolverine.

As a four-star recruit in high school, he had an offer from the Wolverines but ultimately chose to join Notre Dame instead.

He doesn’t look back with regret, especially now that he’s a potential first-round draft pick. Still, this week, Michigan State has found itself embroiled in a significant scandal.

In a recent interview, Love reflected on his decision to skip the University of Michigan. “I loved Michigan,” he said. “It was a fantastic school and program, with many great people. But Michigan just wasn’t my fit. I’m not saying I wished I had gone there, but choosing Notre Dame felt right for me, given all my options.”

It appears, in many respects, that Love made a sound choice.

In the meantime, Coach Sherone Moore has been released following his dismissal related to an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member. Shortly thereafter, he faced charges of burglary and stalking.

Prosecutors claim that after his termination, Moore contacted his former partner, allegedly urging her to communicate with the University of Michigan during their investigation. The situation escalated when he reportedly broke into her home, armed with a butter knife and kitchen scissors, making threats about his life. He allegedly remarked, “My blood is on your hands” and “You ruined my life.”

Moore has a family; he married in 2015 and has three daughters.

As for his legal situation, he was granted bail set at $25,000, which comes with several conditions: he must engage in regular mental health treatment, wear a GPS monitor, avoid any contact with the victim, and remain in Michigan. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 22.
