Providence Police Detain Individual in Brown University Shooting Case
Police in Providence have detained a suspect connected to the shooting incident at Brown University, but officials announced during a news conference on Sunday night that this individual will soon be released.
Providence Mayor Brett Smiley confirmed, “The person of interest who was taken into custody earlier today will be released shortly.”
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha commented, “I think it’s safe to say there’s no further reason to consider him a person of interest. Hence, his release.”
