Micah Parsons Out for the Remainder of the Season

Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons will not return for the rest of the 2025 season after suffering a torn ACL during a game against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

According to reports, an MRI conducted on Monday confirmed the severity of Parsons’ injury. In a message shared on social media, he expressed his determination to come back even stronger for the 2026 season.

“I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury was my greatest test and the moment God allowed me to strengthen my testimony,” he posted on X. “I believe God chose me to walk through this storm and to fight this battle because He knew my heart would endure.”

He also mentioned how thankful he is for the ongoing support from the Packers organization and his teammates. “I trust in His timing, His plan and His purpose. I will rise again,” he added.

Parsons got injured while attempting to tackle Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, leading to a painful knee issue. He described his feelings after the injury, saying, “I felt sick.” The Packers ultimately lost the game 34-26, leaving them just a half-game behind the Chicago Bears in the NFC North standings.

Just before the season began, the Packers had traded for Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys and signed him to a four-year contract extension worth $186 million. His injury poses a significant challenge for the team as they aim for Super Bowl contention, especially with an important game against the Bears coming up this Saturday.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur acknowledged Parsons’ impact on the team: “We all know what kind of player he is and the impact he had on our football team. It’s tough to lose a player like that. As I said, no one will pity us. We have to find a way and the players have to stick together.”
