Millie Bobby Brown’s Absence on ‘Good Morning America’

It turns out Eleven is not unstoppable after all. Millie Bobby Brown had to skip a planned appearance on “Good Morning America” alongside her “Stranger Things” co-star Noah Schnapp due to an injury.

Schnapp, 21, was solo during his interview about the final season of the popular Netflix series. However, co-host Lara Spencer mentioned that Brown had sent a video message for both Schnapp and the audience.

In her clip, Brown expressed her regret over not being able to join them, showing her left arm in a sling while saying, “I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you guys.” She further explained, “I fell down,” adding a light-hearted tone to the situation.

Even though she couldn’t be there in person, Brown took the chance to ask Schnapp some congratulatory questions. She playfully remarked, “I wanted to participate in any way I could, but Noah, you know me, so I need you to understand me.” Then, with a mix of excitement and real curiosity, she asked about his favorite family holiday traditions while ending with a sweet “I love you, good morning, goodbye!”

Schnapp’s response reflected his affection for Brown. “Oh, Mills! I wish she was here,” he replied before sharing a tradition in which his family writes activities and draws them from a bowl to perform, describing it as something that “drives me crazy.” Spencer related by mentioning her family’s similar game played on Christmas Eve.

Brown and Schnapp have maintained a close friendship since they were cast as Eleven and Will Byers about a decade ago.

In another interview appearance on Monday’s The View, Schnapp revealed his new role as the godfather to Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi’s recently adopted daughter. He shared, “Oh, it’s such an honor,” reminiscing about their childhood conversations where she mentioned, “When I have kids, you’re definitely going to be the godfather of my kids.” Now, as they’ve grown up, that promise has come true.

Brown confirmed this joyful news at the Stranger Things 5 red carpet premiere in Los Angeles last month, clarifying Schnapp’s status as her child’s godfather.

She remarked, “Sadie [Sink] is very, very maternal, but Noah is her godfather,” adding with a smile, “They all turn into the slimiest, softest versions of themselves. I hear baby sounds when I’m near her.”
