NFL Week 16 Survival Guide: Selections, insights, strategies

In the NFL, it’s all about survival as the season progresses.

As we approach Week 16, the intensity increases. Yet, there’s a chance we might overlook some key teams for our survivor pool picks.

This week’s schedule is bustling with games spread over Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, which means bye weeks are a thing of the past.

With only ten participants remaining in the Circa Sports Survivor competition, where the prize is a whopping $18 million, things are bound to get intense in the pick ’em pool or Survivor competitions.

If you’ve managed to stay in the game until now, you’re clearly doing something right.

Below, we’ll dive into some of the favored teams and see which ones should make it into your selection.

Week 16 NFL Survivor Picks

Texans (-14.5) vs. Raiders

This matchup is likely the most favored choice for those in the Survivor contest.

The Raiders’ offensive line is struggling, and it’s expected that the Texans will dominate them.

Missing out on this pick could be disappointing.

Throughout the latter half of the season, it’s been suggested to focus on teams opposing the Titans—like the Jaguars in Week 18, as well as the Raiders and Jets.

Next week, the Raiders will face the Giants, followed by a game against the Chiefs in Week 18, which makes this week in Kansas City a no-go.

Saints (-4) vs. Jets

Tyler Shaw has been performing decently this season, and the Saints are holding their own as well.

The Jets find themselves in a tough spot, potentially sticking with Brady Cook or considering either Tyrod Taylor or Justin Fields as alternatives.

At this point, Gang Green ranks second-to-last in the league, sitting at 31st in DVOA, while the Saints have surprisingly climbed to 17th.

It’s quite the turnaround for the Saints, who had been deemed one of the weaker teams earlier in the season.

Look for a solid performance from the Saints; it’s clear they’re due some appreciation.
