Nick Saban Joins Nashville Predators as Minority Owner

The Nashville Predators Welcome New Ownership

The Nashville Predators have just added a notable figure to their ranks.

Legendary former Alabama football coach Nick Saban and his business partner Joe Agresti have acquired a minority stake in the team through their company, Dream Sports Ventures LLC.

This acquisition was announced on Tuesday by Bill Haslam, the franchise’s chairman and majority owner. Saban and Agresti now join a group of local stakeholders and Predators season ticket holders.

“I’m really looking forward to having Coach Nick Saban and Joe Agresti as part of our ownership group,” Haslam said. “Coach is one of the greatest coaches in the history of college football and one of the winningest coaches in all of sports. We are excited to have him join us as we seek a championship on the ice in Nashville.”

Saban and Agresti have collaborated on several business ventures, with their primary focus being Dream Motor Group, a rapidly expanding network of dealerships in the Southeast.

Currently, they operate ten dealerships, including Prancing Horse in Nashville and the Mercedes-Benz location in Music City—both of which are highly regarded luxury outlets in Tennessee.

“Although I am retired as a coach, I still have a competitive spirit and a great passion for the sport,” Saban expressed, according to NHL.com. “Being part of a Nashville sports team has always been a goal, and the chance to partner with a top-notch player like Bill Haslam on the Predators created the perfect scenario for us. The Predators are a great organization with a strong brand, and we are excited about being part of the franchise’s future success.”

I can’t help but feel hopeful about this move and what it means for the team and its fans. Here’s to Saban and the Predators—may they keep winning, just like they did yesterday!
