Tragic Incident on Carnival Horizon Cruise

Video footage has emerged showing 18-year-old Anna Kepner dancing with other passengers aboard the Carnival Horizon just days before she was found deceased on the vessel. This footage was shared by a TikTok user shortly after the ship departed from Miami on November 2, heading into a week-long Caribbean trip.

In the video, vacationers can be seen enjoying themselves on an open deck, and Anna, dressed in black shorts and a white top, stands out as she dances among the crowd. Her grandmother, wearing pink, is spotted close by.

Sadly, on November 7, Anna was found dead in the cabin she shared with her two siblings, including a 16-year-old stepbrother. According to authorities, her cause of death was “mechanical asphyxiation,” and the FBI has since initiated an investigation into the matter.

The Carnival Horizon returned to Port Miami on November 9, at which point federal agents boarded to gather evidence. While no criminal charges have yet been filed, a family dispute involving Anna’s father, Christopher Kepner, and her stepmother, Shawntel, has come to light. Information revealed during this feud indicates that Anna’s stepbrother is being looked at in connection with her tragic death.

Anna, who lived in Titusville, Florida, was a senior at Temple Christian School. She was expected to graduate in 2026 and had aspirations of joining the U.S. Navy, according to her family.
