Woman Arrested for Tampering with Bread at Walmart
A woman has been arrested after allegedly inserting razor blades into loaves of bread at two Walmart stores in Mississippi. Authorities identified her as Camille Benson, a 33-year-old from Texas, who faces charges of attempted riot. Currently, she is being held in jail on a $100,000 bail.
In recent days, several customers reported discovering razor blades in bread they bought at the Walmart Supercenter and the Walmart Neighborhood Market. The first complaint surfaced on December 5, when a customer informed an employee about the blade found in his purchase. Complaints continued, with another incident reported on December 8 at the Neighborhood Market.
After another customer raised concerns about tampering on December 14 at the Supercenter, staff members discovered additional affected loaves. It appears the issue persisted, as similar complaints were noted again on December 15.
At this point, authorities have not established a clear motive for Benson’s alleged actions. Walmart has advised any customers who might have bought potentially tampered products to discard the items and return to the store for a full refund. A representative emphasized the company’s commitment to customer safety and mentioned that the affected products were promptly removed and inspected.
There are no indications that other stores were involved in these incidents, and customers have been urged to check their bread for sharp objects. The Biloxi Police Department is investigating further.
