Support for Tyler Chase Following Troubling Incident

Former ‘Ned Declassified’ star Tyler Chase is getting help after a troubling Christmas Day incident where he allegedly caused damage to a motel room and ended up in the hospital.

A video began circulating online showing Chase appearing disheveled on the street, raising concerns among his co-stars, fans, and family. Daniel Curtis Lee, a former Nickelodeon co-star, arranged for Chase to have a place to stay, aiming to get him off the streets. Reports indicate that the actor also mentioned that Chase had damaged his room shortly after checking in, which heightened worries about his well-being.

As reported, Chase was placed under a 72-hour watch to receive medical treatment before being moved to a rehabilitation center.

Jacob Harris, who owns Shipwreck Barbershop in Riverside, California, shared with TMZ that he was contacted by actor Shaun Weiss, who was looking for help for Chase. Weiss’ phone number was shared with Harris’ family and friends, who then took part in video calls to support Chase during this tough time.

Lee mentioned in a report that Chase’s father urged Harris to take any necessary steps to assist the former child star.

According to Harris, they spent about three hours together on Christmas, during which they reached a “tipping point.” He noted, “We had to do something. We finally found a crisis center that could come out and assess the situation.”

Staff at the crisis center recommended that Chase be treated at a hospital in the Riverside area. Following this, a 72-hour hold was established, and treatment began. Harris expressed optimism, saying, “He’s getting the help he needs now, and it looks promising. He just required someone to take action.”

Involvement from Harris reportedly stemmed from his connection to Shaun Weiss, who has also navigated issues with addiction. Weiss’ representative confirmed that Chase was taken to the facility by a Mental Health Crisis Team and remains under the care of Riverside County authorities.

The representative added that the public support for Chase arrived at a crucial moment. They noted he isn’t feeling well and needs more comprehensive care than what a standard detox center offers. It may take several weeks for him to reach a stable condition.

While Chase seems prepared to take steps toward recovery, it remains uncertain which facility will be next for his treatment.
