Texas Father Rescues Daughter from Kidnapper
A father from Texas managed to rescue his 15-year-old daughter after using her cell phone to locate her kidnapping site, according to lawmakers.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reported that they were alerted to a possible juvenile abduction in Porter, a Houston suburb, around 4:50 p.m. on Christmas Day.
It seems the girl had gone for a walk with her dog and didn’t return when expected, which raised concern among her parents. By using parental controls, they tracked her cell phone, leading the father about three miles to a remote and partly wooded area in Harris County.
Upon arrival, he found his daughter and her dog inside a maroon pickup truck with a 23-year-old man. After helping her escape from the vehicle, he immediately contacted law enforcement.
Authorities later identified the suspect as Giovanni Rosales Espinoza. Reports indicated that he had threatened the girl with a knife and forced her into the truck.
Thanks to descriptions provided by witnesses, deputies located Espinoza and arrested him without any complications. He now faces charges of aggravated kidnapping and indecency with a child, and he remains in custody.
Montgomery County Sheriff Wesley Doolittle expressed his pride in the deputies who worked quickly to apprehend the suspect, emphasizing the importance of keeping the community safe, especially during the holiday season.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
