Former Texas Teacher Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

A former teacher in Texas has been charged with engaging in inappropriate sexual contact with a child and possessing child pornography. Shortly after her arrest, her alleged boyfriend was also taken into custody on similar charges.

On December 19, reports indicated that Madison Page Jones, the substitute teacher, faced one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecent exposure related to sexual contact with a child, and one count of possession of child pornography.

It’s alleged that Jones possessed more than 500 images of child pornography.

According to the records from the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, Jones is currently being held with bail set at $90,000.

The Midlothian Police Department reported that officers were dispatched on December 17 to follow up on allegations of possible child sexual assault.

Upon investigation, law enforcement arrested the 30-year-old Jones. Reports reveal that she worked as a substitute teacher on four occasions over the past year, specifically at Heritage High School and Baxter Elementary School.

The school district noted that Jones served as a substitute for one day at Heritage High School on November 19 and for three days at Baxter Elementary on October 28, 29, and November 3.

While Jones is facing serious allegations, the district insists there’s no evidence linking her charges to her role as a substitute teacher. Preliminary findings suggest that the alleged offenses did not occur on school grounds or during any school-related events.

The Midlothian Independent School District shared that its process for monitoring the criminal records of staff has functioned effectively, with prompt notifications from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Furthermore, the school district confirmed that Jones is no longer employed and has adhered to the necessary reporting procedures with the Texas Education Agency.

Police are continuing their investigation, which has also led to the identification of a second suspect, Zachary Dondlinger, 37, from Happy, Texas. Authorities arrested him on December 23 in Loving County, Texas.

Dondlinger faces charges related to sexual battery against a child and is currently held in the Winkler County Detention Center, awaiting arraignment.

The investigation involves multiple law enforcement entities, including the Midlothian Police Department, Ellis County Child Advocacy Center, Texas Department of Public Safety, and others. They are actively pursuing the case.
