Josh Giddy Shares Heartwarming Holiday News

On Christmas Day, Australian NBA player Josh Giddy made a delightful announcement about his new relationship through a heartfelt social media post.

He shared some cheerful photos on his Instagram Stories, where he’s celebrating the holidays alongside a woman who seems to be his girlfriend.

The cozy picture features Giddy and his partner in matching pajamas and Ugg boots, cuddling with their pet amid festive Christmas decorations.

Giddy’s girlfriend, Alyssa Palanteau, also posted a snapshot on her Instagram Story, which showed the couple hugging in front of Christmas stockings adorned with their names.

In her post, they looked genuinely happy, complete with emojis of a Christmas tree and a heart, both smiling widely.

While Giddy and Palanteau follow each other on social media, they haven’t yet showcased photos of one another on their main Instagram profiles.

This relationship news comes nearly two years after Giddy faced allegations concerning an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl during his time with the Thunder. Fortunately, Newport Beach police stated that there was no evidence to support any accusations against him, and the NBA has also decided not to pursue the matter, having concluded their investigation last May.

For Giddy, this development wraps up 2025 on a positive note, especially since he finished the recent NBA season in prime shape with the Bulls, which earned him a significant salary.

He recently signed a four-year contract extension with the Bulls worth an impressive $25 million per season, placing him alongside fellow Australian star Dyson Daniels, who also landed a substantial contract extension after winning the NBA MVP award.

Currently, Giddy and Daniels are among Australia’s highest-paid athletes, right after golfers, Formula 1 drivers, and NFL stars.

This season, Giddy has been in excellent form, starting strong with the Bulls and maintaining that momentum from the previous season. He’s even emerged as an early contender for the MVP award.

Last week, he pulled off a triple-double against Atlanta, scoring 19 points, dishing out 15 assists, and grabbing 11 rebounds in a narrow win for Chicago.

With seven triple-doubles this season, Giddy ranks just behind Denver’s Nikola Jokic and has made history as the youngest player to achieve this feat while still a teenager, placing 22nd all-time with 25 career triple-doubles.

However, Giddy was recently involved in a tense moment during a game against the Charlotte Hornets, where he clashed with a spectator. His teammates rushed to his side, and a referee had to intervene as several fans were removed from the arena.

He might face some time off after suffering a left hamstring injury during a home loss against the Timberwolves.
